DESIGN METHODOLOGY FOR AN EMBEDDED SYSTEM FOR HIGH-PERFORMANCE COMPUTING Wolfgang Fengler, Bernd Däne, Vesselka Duridanova Ilmenau Technical University, P.O. Box 100565, 98684 Ilmenau, Germany Abstract: The paper describes a methodology under development that supports the design process of high-performance embedded systems. Basic idea is a system model that includes the embedded system and the embedding environment. This can be done with multi-domain modeling and simulation tools that enable inclusion of model parts available in distinct formats. An example model is demonstrated, including simulation results. Further work such as formal analysis is discussed. Keywords: Embedded systems, systems design, simulation, distributed systems, models.
